They think we're being intentionally mean and making things up when we point out we can't afford housing, groceries, or healthcare, that most of us are exhausted, overworked and underpaid, that soaring rhetoric without action leaves much to be desired as red states grind us into pulp, that the mindless bipartisan pursuit of cheap gas is literally killing the planet, that genocide is bad, or that democracy only seems to be working for the white and wealthy in this country.
No, that can't be true, obviously, we have to be paid stooges working for Republicans or the Russians or whomever the preferred bad guys are that day. They've got houses and benefits and 401(k)s and investments and shit. Line goes up! What's so bad about that?

The median house price in SoCal is 899720 so to get a 30 year fixed with 180k down (not gonna happen), you'd need to be taking home 16k/month just to hit the traditional "30% of your salary"
Wages are stagnant
Inflation is up (and companies admitted to artificially inflating it)
A bunch of sectors have been having layoffs (particularly the tech sector)
All major cities have distributed "Hoovervilles" and the answer by both parties is "criminalize homelessness"
We've done essentially fuck-all of any consequence to combatting climate change
I don't even know what the underemployment rate is right now, but I'm sure it isn't good - particularly in light of rising inflation.
We're lucky if we see any of our Dem politicians talking about positive solutions to ANY of this.
@denniskoch Democrats aren't talking about the economy at all except to insist how great it is. The biggest issue in the country right now -- ugh, it isn't even Trump or fascism or climate change or anything -- it's TikTok or college students protesting. That's what they're laser focused on.
These are not serious people. But their boosters want to act offended we think so?
