Well, we're out in the night, on a bit of urban farm and watching the skies. There's a lot more cloud than expected, but seeing stars overhead, and a crescent moon.
No sign of #aurora from here, but there's lots of light pollution and residual post sunset glow.
@mariellequinton true, that does seem inefficient to blast the light out the windows. You'd think they could use half as much illumination if they kept it inside.
Relocated to the river. Less light on the horizon. Still cloudy with cracks here and there. Seemingly some pink to the sky and to some of the cloud. Colour to the light pollution or hints of aurora?
Well the cloud seemed to thicken a bit, and the clearing of the skies was only projected for after midnight last I heard. Giving up on the dark beach, and heading home.
A lot more people out than I'd have expected, but I don't hang around the unlit beach at night much, so it could be normal.
The shade of pink I'm seeing in all the aurora shots is the same colour as we were noticing in the northern cloud breaks, so I guess we were seeing a bit of the aurora earlier. Barely visible then though
@LillyHerself similar here, a hint of pink, but too many clouds. Nothing visible from the windows at 3am when I peeked, but I was eager to get back to sleep.
