Porchfest is an ideal festival for me these years.

Entirely outdoors, distributed, noncommercial, community-driven...

But it starts ridiculously late in the day.

According to this I missed it entirely? I was outdoors at 1 and didn't hear any damn bands, just a lot of people setting up.

Or taking down, I guess.

ah, I see. It starts early on the other side of town, then starts later as you get near me.

Wow, would be nice if that was, you know, more obvious.

@Craigp #porchfest is a noon start west somerville, 2pm mid, 4pm start in east You walk east and then it’s dinner time. Set times are staggered by location so people aren’t racing across town to make a band.

@knizer yeah, the one that says everything is at noon no matter how long you scroll. That's what made me think I'd missed the whole thing.

@knizer to be clear, it's fine now that I know, but all the posters around town don't mention times or anything, and the idea isn't clearly indicated anywhere obvious. I think a lot of folks may end up confused.

I mean, I've done six years thinking it was a late afternoon two hour festival.
