I need more background tv if I'm going to Hack All Night
onelson, 28 days ago I love franchises for this purpose. I can just roll through 'em. Maybe I should revisit Friday the 13th or something else like that. I'm still in the middle of my rewatch of Twin Peaks The Return, but I can't idly hack while that's on. It requires more attention.

onelson, 28 days ago @grumpasaurus Relatedly, I have run through NCIS many many times for background TV. This is another Donald P. Bellisario production.

onelson, 27 days ago @grumpasaurus someone pointed out to me how (almost?) every Bellisario show involves a central character with a US military background. NCIS is clearly this, but Quantum Leap was a research project sponsored by the navy. Al was a sailor.

onelson, 27 days ago @grumpasaurus I don't think so. The pattern was noted in the opening section of his Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_P._Bellisario Looks like he himself served in the marines. I think this is just him bringing his own lived experience to the stories he's writing.
