Selling on Craigslist so far is a lot of people texting if it's still available, then never replying again when you say yes, except the ones that do reply after that are scammers with a pitch for some convoluted payment scheme.

@vwbusguy Same. I've bought a few things on Craigslist the past few years but I haven't been successful selling anything. I got close a few years ago. We agreed on a price ($40) and a place (library parking lot) and when I got there she said she had no intention of paying but would take it off my hands for free. What?!

@stepschwarz Absolutely amazing.

@vwbusguy Would you be willing to trade for a pallet of roofing shingles, 2 jars of paper clips, 2 mechanical pencils?

@sudoedit That's honestly more reasonable than "I'll send someone over and send you a cashiers check, but first I need your personal info."

I am generally open to considering trades if it's interesting enough.

Meanwhile, Ebay just took a 13.5% chunk, including sales tax, of something I sold there, and then held the funds until I reverified all my personal info with them again.

Selling things on the internet is truly awful these days.
