@BasicAppleGuy yes, it sucks. Looking forward to seeing some good third party replacements. Popped into Apple Store in Rome yesterday just to doublecheck that although I am ripe for iPad Air upgrade asap, Magic Keyboard is an uninteresting option for me (too heavy, too bulky, too pricey).

@BasicAppleGuy Damn, I love using my 2018 iPad Pro with Smart Keyboard Folio. Such a good accessory even though it’s kinda falling apart after all these years of carrying the iPad around... Such a pity it’s being discontinued 🫤 The lightness and waterproofing is a killer feature.

i've been using iPads since the very first version and the folio keyboard is the best case i've ever had for the iPad.

@BasicAppleGuy I share your thoughts. I decided not to upgrade to the new iPad because Keyboard Folio wasn't available.

If I had to upgrade in the future, I think I'd go for the Smart Folio over the Magic Keyboard and just tap glass when I really had to type.

@patrickfoster21 @BasicAppleGuy based on the “compatibility” page on the Apple Store app, the new Air’s are still compatible with the Smart Folio Keyboard. Maybe if we all buy a bunch of it, it might change their minds….
