Since they have such an extensive catalogue I'll do things differently this time, allowing myself more time between the records so that I can catch up with other stuff as well.
I already started with their debut #LostParadise which was to my surprise a Death Metal record. A quite slow one, so I guess that's Death Doom then?
It seems like they were busy finding their style in the early 90s, because this album again sounds different than its predecessor, and there's not much left from their debut.
It didn't really click yet. I mean it sounds good, but chances that I'll pick this album up again are quite low.

But really, the resemblance is almost uncanny. Three songs in, and you could have told me that Draconian Times is a TON album.
There is nothing left from where they started 7 years earlier with Lost Paradise, but that doesn't need to be a bad thing. I find this album as entertaining as their debut, just in a very different way.
Dark Rock ist still not really my thing, so I'll probably won't add this into my rotation. 2,5 out of 5.
Fader was the first #ParadiseLost song I ever listened to. I know that PL fans don't really like the album #BelieveInNothing but I like the song a lot, so I am glad that this album is next on my PL #Metaljourney.
Yeah also this spin doesn't change the fact that I like #BelieveInNothing
It's a good album (3,5 out of 5) and enters my preliminary #ParadiseLost#MetalJourney ranking at #2
Side note: with Divided they have a James Bond song on this album. I never noticed before.

Paradise Lost is Paradise Lost's 10th studio album. Gothic and Doom Metal is back.
It was released in 2005, the year I enrolled at the university. A life changing year for myself.
In other news, Rapid Wien won the Austrian Football Bundesliga that year.
We have a new leader! #TragicIdol was the heaviest of all #ParadiseLost albums so far, and I really enjoyed that. One spin verdict: Masterpiece, 4,5 out of 5!
This was by far my longest metaljourney. Not in terms of albums (Saxon had 23!!!), but the time it took me to finish it was almost 2 months.
It's not because I don't enjoy PL, but rather their heavy style. The music is great, I just needed time to digest it. Hence the longer breaks in between albums.
