bk1e, 1 month ago @claras_universe Neat. This reminds me of the Amiga’s bitplane graphics. 16-color mode used 4 bits per pixel, slicing each of the 4 bits into a separate 1-bit bitplane. This format is probably slower for representing chess pieces, though.
