But that’s not the point. The point is that millions of people across the planet are exploring based communication now. THAT is the big opportunity and success.

@jwildeboer i don’t think the will replace or kill reddit fully, but it has proved that it can be a viable alternative, and for me at least, having viable alternatives is a crucial part of autonomy. i don’t want to use reddit, and i don’t want reddit to use me, so i consider it a victory that i have the opportunity to bring myself into a new community apart from reddit. and i think a lot of people feel the same way.
