Blinken warns Israel that humanitarian conditions in Gaza must improve to have 'partners for peace'

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is warning Israel that it risks destroying an eventual possibility for peace unless it acts swiftly to improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza for Palestinian civilians as it intensifies its war against Hamas.

knfrmity,

Talk is cheap, especially for war criminals.

guriinii,

Meanwhile Biden offers $106bn to Israel.

Bombs aren't cheap when you drop them as carelessly as a cigarette butt.

They've been choosing overcrowded areas very carefully.

You mean Hamas…

Wow, you sure got em' there!

But that’s literally the target, Hamas.

Wait a minute, you don’t believe it’s even just maybe disregard for life, you genuinely believe Israel is targeting citizens?

Projection does seem to be a strong attribute of the right and someone can't stop screaming terrorist while bombing whole families of doctors and journalists out of existence. Does that seem so far fetched that they've taken a whole part of a country hostage? Because Bibi literally said releasing the hostages is the only way to get a ceasefire and I'm unsure how to tell you this, but that sounds like terrorism on an even grander scale.

I'm not joking though, if you say something bluntly stupid here I'm calling this conversation DOA

Frankly, and maybe I’m misunderstanding, but you didn’t answer the question. You genuinely believe Israel is targeting civilians?

“It is striking, and in some ways shocking, that the brutality of the slaughter has receded so quickly in the memories of so many, but not in Israel and not in America,” he said.
At the same time, he said he was also shaken by images of dead and wounded Palestinian children in Gaza.
“When I see that, I see my own children. How can we not?” he said, adding “Hamas doesn’t care one second or iota for the welfare and well-being of the Palestinian people.”

Even wrapped in that turd sandwich, I really have to agree with you. They really fucked this up where the meat in the middle got switched to non-kosher.

zerfuffle,

Maybe the US shouldn’t give the most advanced military in the Middle East another $15 billion in military aid then…

pearlkingstone,

I believe Secretary Blinken’s call for improved humanitarian conditions in Gaza is a crucial step towards fostering lasting peace in the region. Ensuring that basic needs are met is essential for building trust and diplomatic progress. It is a positive move towards a more stable future for all involved.
