@paradoxmo I love feed back though. It did take me some time to like my Platinum #3776 soft fine. I think maybe it's the length of the Sailor nib with the 21K softness that throws me off.
#FPQuestion of the day:
Which of your preferences have shifted during your time using #FountainPens, and why? (e.g. nib width, filling mechanism, preferred ink types or colors) What did you like when you first started that isn’t your favorite anymore? What have you recently become enamored with that you never were before?
@penfount I started off being obsessed with having as fine a line as possible, hence why the Platinum #3776 UEF was my first "grail". I still adore Ultra-fines, but I've found I also greatly enjoy big, fat, juicy lines. I might just love extremes. For inks, my favourite colours are still orangereds, but I've found I trend much more towards purples & browns these days.
Please help me choose an ink for my new #3776 Century LE Uroko-gumo!
Unfortunately I can't make a poll in this post since it has photos, maybe I'll reply to this post and try to add a poll there. If it doesn't work, please comment instead!
The choices are:
Montegrappa - Ravenclaw Blue
Robert Oster - Chicago
J. Herbin - Vert de Gris
Diamine - Twilight
I gave up on trying to match any particular ink in my Platinum #3776 and just put #FerrisWheelPress Mirror Mirror of Moraine in it. Perfect ink for a summer with a glacial lake. #FountainPens#Hobonichi#Ink
I think mine would have to be my Platinum #3776 Century in Chenonceau White with the Ultra Extra Fine nib. I love extremely small writing, and this nib is great for that. I'm currently using it with Platinum's Classic Khaki Black iron gall ink, which is dry enough to get some very nice thin lines with.
What is everyone's favourite pen that you own?
Mine is the Platinum Little Meteor....
