I've ridden this path many times in 8 years, yet it was only the second time I had to stop for a train crossing.

8 inches/20cm of heavy wet snow has blown in 3 days after the ski mountain closed for the year. The drifts were well over a foot deep in some places and I had do a bit of “fatbike cyclocross” to get to town.

The snow has melted and the roads are dry. After two months of riding the fatbike the Kona feels very different. But it doesn’t matter which bike I take, riding to work makes the whole day better.
