I stopped to visit with my brother at the volunteer fire station today and discovered they have bike rack with tools (including an actual JIS #2 screwdriver!) available all year long.
Another Fat bike ride!
I rigged up the phone w/“action" mode to record video and it comes out pretty stable, but would probably be better in landscape (not possible with this mount). Trails were mostly frozen dirt, but still some "ice highways" scattered around waiting to test your studs and skills. That being said, we have hot weather in forecast, I'm guessing last fat bike ride unless there's a surprise Winter storm or two.

Avec la petite neige tombée pendant la nuit, j'ai choisi le #fatbike.
Ça m'a permis de passer par le petit parc, dont la piste cyclable est damée pendant l'hiver. Après un épisode de redoux puis de froid (-16°C), la piste est trop cahoteuse pour les pneus de mon vélo de #garnotte.
Snowshoe packing the fat bike trails this morning with a friend. Pretty powdery snow so it doesn’t take a fast pack, going to require more traffic. So one of my goals is to set the lines such that anyone who comes out just for snowshoeing will tend to go the same way. People who snowshoe don't know the #mtb lines and they will often do sharp turns around a bough heavy in snow rather than just shake the snow off and keep a straight line. #fatbike
Rode down the (normally) dirt road by our house and a couple other side streets. Nothing’s been plowed for hours and it’s deep enough you could find yourself going sideways if you aren't careful. Got the heart rate up quite nicely. Hardly anyone out: one snowplow service, one guy snow blowing, one gal clearing long driveway with old tractor. Quick yardstick check shows 9-10” on front lawn. #mtb#fatbike
In amongst the expanse of pinewoods where I #fatbike, there's a rogue coppice of Silver Birch that has a near luminescent quality. I love riding through it. #cycling#trees#photography#blackAndWhite
