This is part of a wry joke at the expense of LISPers and lambda calculators:
"... the heretic is chained in the dungeon where he is forced to learn Common Lisp on a Commodore 64 and interact with rapacious Lemmy-ings and Mastodonians."
Early on in my hobby I came to the realization that cryptographic prowess has no viable market price point. More's the pity. Yet I think one day I may change that with my secrecy sauce.
Code Warriors: NSA's Codebreakers and the Secret Intelligence War Against the Soviet Union by Stephen Budiansky, 2016
Stephen Budiansky—a longtime expert in cryptology—tells the fascinating story of how NSA came to be, from its roots in World War II through the fall of the Berlin Wall. Along the way, he guides us through the fascinating challenges faced by cryptanalysts, and how they broke some of the most complicated codes of the 20th c.
Everything you need to know about so-called 'Swiss Privacy' we learned decades ago from Operation Thesaurus, AKA, Operation Rubicon. We learned that CIA operations and black budget banking are actually headquartered in the Swiss underground.
If you trust any third-party server to protect your privacy, you're a rube. If you trust Proton Mail to protect your privacy, you're a rube getting 'crossed' by the Swiss Rubi-con. Either you own your keys and your data on your computer or else you have no privacy. Someone else's promise that your data will be 'encrypted' so they can't decipher it is a hollow pledge. If you send any form of plaintext to a remote server, no matter how much they claim to encrypt it, you have zero assurance of data privacy.
Mural by Julian Nowicki in Bydgoszcz (Poland) dedicated to Marian Rejewski, a Polish mathematician and cryptologist who in late 1932 reconstructed the sight-unseen Nazi German military Enigma cipher machine
„Odszyfrowany Rejewski“, czyli #mural upamiętniający Mariana Rejewskiego, matematyka i kryptologa, który w 1932 r. złamał szyfr Enigmy, najważniejszej maszyny szyfrującej używanej przez hitlerowskie Niemcy. Wielkoformatowy portret zdobi ścianę kamienicy przy ul. Gdańskiej 10 w Bydgoszczy. Powstał w 2017 r., a zaprojektował go i wykonał Julian Nowicki. Fot. @xlenka
I am creating cryptographic primitives to keep my mind in fettle. I will announce my industrial strength toys from this account. If you are interested in novel ideas then you have come to the right place.
If your jeans don't have room for tools, they're not really jeans; they are denim leotards.
I enjoy lights of every kind: neon, led, candle, lamp, torch, flash, strobe and bright eyes. I enjoy natural lights like fireflies, lightning, and stars at night, rays through fog, and campfires. I am a flashlight geek. I own more flashlights than a shark has teeth.
My imperial hobbies include games with crypto, code, and coffee. My imperial toys include text and smolnet tools. When I am not learning new things I like to fist bump clouds and thunderstorms. Righteo, tornado brah.
There are two great opposing forces in the digital universe: The Skinny Jeans Mafia versus the Baggy Jeans Mafia. My camp shall drive those Skinny Jeansters running away crying over spilled espresso.
