I know I said I went to bed already.

a reminder for all the anti-car people who think that some miraculous urbanism is going to save us.

a large number of disabled people cannot walk down the block even to get to the bus. personal automobiles are freedom/independence for us.

we can't just walk to the store, to the bakery, to the coffee shop, even if they were made closer.

I can walk from my RV in the driveway to the door of the back house two or three times, if that.

stop .

tap the sign number three, I keep seeing stupid things:

just fucking stop equating mental illnesses and (again) cluster b personality disorders with people who have them being bad people.

some people aren't willing to go through treatment or do bad things influenced by their condition, yes.

but that doesn't make it so that every single person with that condition is an axe-murderer, any more than everyone sharing the same name, hairstyle, or favourite colour.

not cool, folks.

time to tap the sign loudly:

not! everything! is! a mental illness!

saying that such and such is because more people are this or that is the kind of thing that legitimately endangers the lives of people with mental illnesses and cluster b personality disorders, et cetera. (note that I am including the latter who are often excluded, told they are too difficult to treat with compassion, demonised, and abused.)

don't spread the stigma against mental health or do an , folks.

if you see a person who usually uses a wheelchair using a different mobility aid and possibly walking, it's not an opportunity for you to comment. some wheelchair users are ambulatory. it's not special when you do it so don't let your tell you it's special when I do it or I'll start infantilising you and oh how nice, this perfectly normal thing you've done forever now needs the most cloying tone of acknowledgement.

"Trader Joe's sells almost no core groceries that anybody needs."

way to wave your privilege flag, fucker. take your and shove it up your ass.

sells a lot of frozen meals, pre-made salads, other easy to heat up foods at a far better price than mainstream stores. I and many others rely on these.

these foods are a lifeline for so many people who don't have the ability/spoons. wherewithal to cook for themselves from scratch.

some days it's that or starve.

How people manage to make a viable living writing this garbage, or why it's commissioned in the first place, is beyond me.

fak,

@fkamiah17 Interesting that none of them seem aware that service dogs are legally allowed anywhere their owners go. Yes, they would be 'well behaved' because they are trained to be, but can still be wet, smelly and visible. But their existence just doesn't occur to this group

I like .

I didn't dress up.

I don't want to be asked about it.

I want to be left alone.

consider this your regular reminder that and other individuals may not interact with on the same levels or enjoy the social structures built in, and letting people not participate if they don't want to is also end combats .
