Oh do fuck off you little bigot. This is what you want to spent what little time you have left in office doing? Legislation that new commercial buildings have to have separate gendered toilets (unless there's not enough space). I assume that should be applied to accessible facilities too? The local elections were dominated by wins for parties that support trans rights. A single-issue transphobe candidate got absolutely trounced. Your Tufton Street friends have got it wrong. There isn't a huge appetite for transphobia in this country. There are a tiny number of very vocal transphobes who make a lot of noise, but most people are either supportive or don't really think about it. Then again, keep being deranged and broadcasting your cruelty, it will cost you even more votes.

Still waiting on the local election results where I am, predicted to be announced at 19:00. The council website is showing turnout data for most, but not all, areas (including a miscalculation) so I'm guessing it won't be soon, but would also like to know if I should keep checking tonight or wait until tomorrow. The Tory representation on Bristol City Council has been halved: from 14 to 7. They are now the smallest party on the Council. 10 seats gained by #GreenParty with Labour losing 3.

The Labour Mayor is out after today (we voted to scrap the position), so he can't keep members out of the cabinet any longer (it was previously all Labour despite Labour & Greens having the same number of councillors). Well, Wes Streeting can fuck right off. The existence, support of, and healthcare access for trans and non-binary people should not be up for debate. The media focus on a marginalised minority has made their lives measurably worse in recent years.     I know they'd only find ways around it, but why can't donations to political parties be capped? A maximum amount per individual or organisation, with company directors only eligible to donate once (either personally or through their company/partnership/charity/trust).

    @quixoticgeek just charge peak prices in those hours. Incentivise people to charge overnight with cheaper rates. Behaviour will soon change.

    @quixoticgeek I'm sure there are a lot of businesses who could be persuaded to turn off their lights to reduce load also (if capacity is such a problem, I am suspicious on them placing the blame on people plugging in cars at home, when ever car can be delay charged at home). Plus if a workplace is providing parking, they should also be providing charging. People shouldn't be having to go out of their way to charge, anywhere a car can be parked, it should be able to be charged there.
