Okay, so this week's Tune Tuesday from @Kitty has a theme of "It's For You" from @derthomas. The idea being you can dedicate a song to someone on Fedi.
Busy holiday weekend, so just getting caught up on things. Here's last week's K-Pop post. Going to get the Top 100 of 2005 up tomorrow or Thursday (hopefully)!
K-Pop MVs You Should Be Watching – 05/25/24
32 K-Pop music videos this week featuring RM, B.I, XG, MCND, ONEUS, BADA, SEVENTEEN, AleXa, and more!
This week's lovely theme for #TuneTuesday is #ItsForYou - share a song that you'd like to dedicate to someone on the fedi. Naaaw!
So, this one is for #FediArmy who share music, art, kindness and a little bit of cray cray, and always brighten my day. (An obvious song choice - but cmon, it had to be this. 💜)
One of the reasons for the invisibility of #AntiAsianRacism is inextricably connected to #ModelMinorityMyth. The myth focuses on #stereotypes of #Asians as hard-working, independent, intelligent & economically prosperous.
Stereotypes hide many issues & disappears the realities of working-class #AsianWomen’s lives.
#KoreanPop, or #Kpop, has been steadily increasing in popularity in the past couple of years. Events like KCON, multiple fan meets, and concerts all come together to bolster the musical movement. Though the success of K-pop has done wonders for #AsianRepresentation, improving #CulturalAwareness & overall giving this amazing #music genre the recognition it deserves, the movement brought along some drawbacks, most notably #fetishization of #KoreanMen.
