Great view into the north from the Gößling, the highest mountain in the Eisenerzer Alps. It was an amazing day and the last really warm there (last saturday). The day after my visit everything got a little bit white there. So winter time is coming.

So ... revise the z-index chapter of the book.

I need a collective name for "elements that obey their z-index"/"elements on which it makes sense to set z-index".

Most elements ignore their z-index, after all, and when I explain in which situations that happens and does not happen it's useful to have a name.

I thought the name was "stacking item", but it appears that I made up that name, then forgot I made it up.

Suggestions?

@ppk @peterbautista the spec says that z-index applies to “positioned elements”

I'm looking into , which I know ~nothing about, and I just discovered that FaaS "functions" are essentially Docker images, which seems pretty heavy to me.

This makes me wonder whether it would make sense to build an FaaS framework on top of , where "functions" are derivations that produce an executable, which is run in a sandbox. I wonder if anyone's made something like that already? I couldn't find anything on Google.

@bryanhonof maybe you've heard of such a thing?
