Reading the novel today and learned that it is Bonnie Garmus‘ first novel which she wrote in her 60s! .

Months ago, I started to watch because it was recommended for its representation of neuro-atypical people.

I didn't get far in because an autistic person in love got devastated and I couldn't handle it.

(I never did go back to Elementary. https://autistics.life/@Cassandra/111424381310730186)

But my Apple TV free trial is ending soon so I picked Lessons back up, and I watched the series finale tonight, and I cried. Good show.

(But it felt like it should have been based on a true story, not a novel.)

( TV series on Apple TV+) is such a great show. A little hard to watch at times -tough topics, sadness, language - but oh so worthwhile!

I made my traditional, non-traditional holiday lasagne, only this year I combined the recipe from , ‘s creamed spinach to layer w/and my own addition of 3 pounds of chopped sautéed oyster mushrooms w/a béchamel sauce, sautéed scallions, pesto, Parmesan, and a light but tasty tomato background. There are 5 layers of pasta! 💋💋💋

Tonight I’m staying in and baking Julia’s

We've been enjoying watching . I've never read the book, but the show is pretty good.

Wait wait wait WAIT. The actor that plays Brie Larson's love interest in is Bill Pullman's son??? Now that I've learned this, I can't unsee it. It's so clear.

Two of my favourite streaming shows this year turned out to be limited series. And I’m so okay with that.

I want more limited series shows. Get in, tell a good and tight story, then end it. Move on and repeat with another story.

The shows were Daisy Jones & The Six on Prime and Lessons in Chemistry on AppleTV+.

Finally, finished watching what a great series, I love how strong Elizabeth Zott is portrait even through her fragility!

Finished watching Lessons in Chemistry. I enjoyed that.

I don’t think there will be any more. Which is fine. Limited series that have an ending have a place in the entertainment landscape. Tell many stories that fit into one season arcs.

Courtney McBroom, Kevin Sussman, and Stephanie Koenig from Lessons in Chemistry make Chicken Pot Pie.

I’m hungry now.

Sill enjoying the series.

The s1 finale drops on Wednesday. Does anyone know if there is additional source material for another series?

I am totally sucked into Elizabeth Zott’s world of “Lessons in Chemistry.” Imagine my surprise when Apple TV dropped all her recipes on this fictional show, today. What a brilliant thing to do and what impeccable timing.

Elizabeth Zott portrayed by Brie Larson is a fabulous female protagonist.

I’m going to make all of these recipes.

If anyone is planning to watch Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ make sure you are not hungry, lol. Also, they are putting up recipes on this website, however they seem to be ahead of the show so avoid the video b/c +

First impressions of Lessons in Chemistry?

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel meets The Big Bang Theory.

That’s not a derogatory observation. Like so far.
