Well, Yoda, I don't yet know if I'm enjoying the game. As for buying it from my local retailer... Perhaps with current management of Lucasfilm Games bring it up you could, mmm?
Sometimes you just have to accept that the code you were so proud of is spinning out of control and has to be restructured. It took some work, but this time I'm pretty happy with it.
At least until the next restructuring. 😁
And inventory scrolling seems to work now, so there's some visible progress too.
The National Inquisitor newspaper is full of juicy, humorous news! 📰 🐿️
It also contains a number of clues to help players progress through the game 🔍
I can't remember if it was translated in the French version. I think it was just the game and the manual (translated and distributed by Ubi Soft in France)
Are you stuck? Just look for the question you're asking and use the glasses to reveal the solution! 🔍
The guide also lists all the objects in the game (where to find them and where to use them), the maze map, the connections between each airport and Zak McKracken's notebook.
Starting to look good... Of course, this will all be for naught unless I can figure out how to wire up the Mac buttons to the SCUMM verbs, and when to show and hide the GUI. But it's obviously possible, seeing how the original did it.
I thought it would be much worse, but ScummVM provides simple access to the classic Mac fonts now. So far it's been fun messing around with it.
I have no idea why the lower part of this spire in #Loom was redrawn for the FM Towns version. I assume it isn't a @scummvm bug. It's the only such difference that I'm personally aware of, though I'm sure @atmcashpoint could give me a lot of other examples. (And I don't mean the countless obvious changes in the VGA version.)
@sayomgwtf Have you played the #LastCrusade pre-release standalone demo? It has an unused wide shot of the train in the intro rolling through the desert!
A few years ago, I worked on a project with my friend Gary Winnick to create a prototype of an interactive comic book, combining some concepts from our #PointAndClick adventure games with Gary's #Comic book illustrations. We just made it public at https://comicactive.com/
Go to the Our Demos page to click through to a Unity-based demo (allow time for it to load), or if you're on mobile, just watch the video.
Again, this is a prototype, but we'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on it.
Actually I should have posted this comic five days ago, because I did the translation one year ago. I originally made this comic strip in German in 2009.
I run a site documenting the history of some of the first graphical virtual worlds and I have a post I’d like to share from my bird site account I have for it.
Does anyone have a copy of the book "Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts" ? We're looking for a scan of the Lucasfilm Habitat art that's featured on page 39.
If anyone has contact info for Ken Macklin who originally painted that art, please get in touch.
