Another sweet draft night in the books. Attendance was a bit light, so we did a Match of the Machines sealed, and my pool put me on a fun WUB deck with awful mana. Had to mull a lot, but the card quality made up for it.

Wieder fast alles ein bisschen mehr als im vorangegangenen Set und vor allem wieder ein höherer Rang in Limited als Constructed. Draften hat wieder deutlich mehr Spaß gemacht. Ein bisschen wundert mich, dass Rot meine am häufigsten gespielte Farbe war. Aber gut, ist dann wohl so. 😉
Nice little draft night tonight/break from baldur’s gate consuming my brain. We did a throwback draft of March of the Machines, and I ended up in a pretty fun UR spells deck. Mostly leaned on ral’s reinforcements and convoke spells to get there.

Die Tage kamen die #MtgArenaStats für #MTGMOM und es ist in Summe alles nochmal niedriger als beim letzten Set bei mir. Im Moment fehlt mir etwas die Motivation.
Had a blast at the pub draft tonight! Ran a pile of bomb rares and fixing to a clean trophy. Flipped invasion of Alara once, and even got someone with Fynn + Beatstick + back to back removal for 10 poison. Deck was beautiful.

As always, super fun to chill with friends and sling some spells, plus trophying is always nice.
My favorite deck for the MTGA Historic Pauper event - mono-blue spells that aims to spam a million spells into the graveyard and then beat face with 1-mana tolarian terrors and 8/8 or larger tokens from Serpentine Curve. Mystic Sanctuary almost always wants to bring back Curve. There's just enough interaction to disrupt the other linear decks in the format.
@tomscud Deck looks nice, I tried it myself and it was fun. In some matches it could've made use of more counterspells to protect the tokens that were created by Serpentine Curve.
Edit: I replaced two Opt with Negate and also exchanged Make Disappear with Assimilate Essence from #MTGMOM which has the same casting cost but it requires the opponent to pay an extra 4 instead of 2. And in case they do I get to Incubate 2.
I'm trying to build up some tent poles for the Magic: The Gathering community on Mastodon, as it seems like there is a lot of disconnect with people on different instances who may or may not be able to see each other.

One drops are really important in #MTGMOM, and this little vampire, who is my common of the day, does it all.
Clocking in at a 57.6% winrate, I look to run 1-2 in all of my black decks. As an early play it can defend battles well, chip in for damage, hold back X/1's, and gain you a bit of life. And then, when you finally need to chump with it, you can bring it back as a 2/2 for three mana. What's not to love?
