Snow can come anytime. We're told tomorrow. I have to bring a shovel in. I lost one last storm that won't resurface until spring.

Other than that, clearing away stuff, the hardest thing to do, get rid of stuff. I don't want most of it.
So, if you are looking for a widget or something, ask before I get rid of it.

My momma made for me ♪

Each time I came inside, a puddle formed where snow fell off me. My pants were wet up to the knees, so they had to be changed, and I don't remember what the last wet pair of socks looked like, but I think I found their mates..

The roofs, should they survive until tomorrow, will need shoveling/raking. There's tons of snow up there too.

Despite as much as 90cm of snow in Cape Breton with some unable to leave their homes and snowplows that can't keep up, the province of Nova Scotia is unwilling to declare a State of Emergency.

They are also requesting Military assistance.

Thoughts are with Nova Scotia tonight and the snowfall they are getting. Luckily my family there are west of Halifax, not east so they are only getting a few cm (hopefully) But wow, I just saw some reports comparing it to White Juan 20 years ago that really nailed them. Cape Breton will be hunkered right down. Saw some knarly blizzard video from a couple hours ago.

Three good things for yesterday and this morning.

  1. We lost shingles, but the roof is still there.

  2. I slept in my bed, not in the closet, thanks to noise cancelling headphones. I was able sleep through occasional house shakes.

  3. We have power. It was out for only about 30 minutes.

One house had it, next one didn't. . Wind was brutal.
A lot of Emergency Vehicles in my hood.

It warm enough that I walked around taking photos.
I saw some damage; I had some damage
10 mins from home, I was caught in a downpour.

PC shut down all day; I'm finally to my video editing.

Speaking from experience. .This person (so far) has $800 in siding damage. (if it comes off completely) has come loose, and will be ripped off or damaged by further wind. $15 per piece, $50 labour. .Not worth insurance claim.

The bottom of the siding on a house has pulled free. When wind hits it, it goes under the whole wall of siding, making it flap

Drop the hot wire.
