#OnePersonOneVote could seriously increase turnout for presidential elections in all areas. Democrats in deep red states would have a better motivation to vote for President, same as Republicans in blue strongholds.
The electoral college is inherently anti-democratic and is a vestige of the post-civil war era that essentially allows for states with vast uninhabited land more voting power than ones with large cities/millions of people.

@TonyStark Republican politicians in GOP states will never agree to eliminating the Electoral College. Another approach is to encourage willing and able Democratic voters to move to swing states.
