#NowPlaying Dvne - Voidkind 🎶 After the excellent High On Fire album, I move to this which I know will be great. I've hard a lot of good things about it already. Not that I'm surprised. #metal#progmetal#postmetal
I don't think we've ever talked about Nili Brosh for #ProgTuesday. She's a very accomplished guitarist, who has performed or recorded with Danny Elfman, DragonForce, Cirque du Soliel, and many others. She has a few albums of solo work - all instrumental. Give them a listen.
Clocking in at just over four minutes, “Clairvoyant” is a tight little slice of metal-leaning progressive rock. A powerful, rolling bassline, some solid drumming and just a touch of swirling atmospherics anchor the track, but it’s the guitar work that really shines here.
So, Leute, dreht mal die Anlage auf 11.
Arjen Lucassen hat eben eine einmalige Live-Aufnahme von "The Day That The World Breaks Down" veröffentlicht, die letztes Jahr in Tilburg aufgezeichnet wurde.
Da es quasi unmöglich ist, alle Gastmusiker des Studio-Albums unter einen Hut zu bringen, war das Konzert zwar in etwas anderer Besetzung, aber nicht minder hochkarätig.
DVNE from #Scotland will release their next album on april 19th. The music is a very nice mix of #sludgemetal, #progmetal and #postmetal, all inspired by the stories of Frank Herbert’s Dune.
Then first single already sounds on fire and the setlist for the album looks promising. Check em out!
"We are, we are standing
in the circle of the devil!
We are, we are standing
in the circle of the devil!"
That part of the song gives me chills every time. Give yourself a treat for #ProgTuesday and listen to the Chronicles of the Immortals Part 1 and 2 by Vanden Plas.
"Circle of the Devil" is the final track off of the 2nd album, and it will send shivers down your spine. #ProgMetal

Progressive Metal from Norway
With Eric Gilette and Diego Tejeida, who are not that much Norwegian, but well known in the prog scene..
Album one called #One done on my #TesseracT#Metaljourney and I can't help but thinking about what I wrote when I first listened to their latest album last year:
"Do I really like #ProgMetal as much as I always thought?"
I didn't mind listening to the album and it had its moments, but nothing really clicked yet.
The #GrowerOrBlower metre has not yet deflected in any direction.
One gets a 3 out of 5 - solid, I might listen to it again.

I've been listening to a lot of Buckethead lately, and realized I've never featured him for #ProgTuesday. He constantly straddles the line between #ProgRock and #ProgMetal, he's always a solid go-to when I'm not sure what I want to listen to.
He adopted the name Buckethead because he often plays with an empty KFC bucket over his head. He loves playing the guitar, but just doesn't like the fame so much.
I'm surprised at how modern this 70s band sounds. Wouldn't take much to make it fit any current prog metal album today. Also their logo is an #ambigram. #progrock#progmetal#music#70s#70smusic
