Seeing customers at Berwick we paused at Athelstaneford (good Scots name 😂) and ran across and over Trapain Law - site of extraordinary archeological finds and ponies. On the way back we paused at the Saltire museum https://scottishflagtrust.com/the-flag-heritage-centre/. Housed in a fine 15C Doocot it is worth a visit and the nearby gravestones are good as well. For the Borders, no surprise that cattle raiding sparked off the invention of the Saltire.
As #GB politics becomes more like #NI politics. (thanks to #Brexit)
You have seen the abundance of flags due to insecurity, the introduction of #voterid which we have had for quite sometime on this side of the #IrishSeaBorder & the introduction of the concept of 'themuns' Now you finally get to the stage of #TacticalVoting
Many of us in #NI have been voting this way for years - not who we want but who will get the other lot out!
Well I do not think so - I think #scotland displaying the #saltire everywhere is a show of strength against arrogant #England dominance
Apart from the Coronation, I know nobody who would put up a #union flag - just an insecure #populistRight govt on their way out in 2024 who mandated it on public buildings. At other times there are not that many of these flags flying aside from govt buildings. Show me one in someone's garden and it will be a nutter on the fringe
