"Some have quite rightly asked: Is it really worth $225 million not to have to wait another 18 months? The answer is absolutely not. It’s grotesque. What the government should have done was simply cancel the existing MFA with The Beer Store via legislation, on the grounds it was a product of rank political corruption. (In fact it said it would do this, but legislation to that effect was never enacted.)"

I wrote about the summer beers that I homebrewed for 2024, including recipes: https://dafteejit.com/2024/05/my-summer-beers-for-2024/

sumisu3,
@sumisu3@mastodon.beer avatar

@akrennmair now I’m going to have to try brewing an 8° Czech pale lager. My 10° is just about to start lagering so I will know how that turned out after 42 or so days.

This is not the colour a beer should have. It was remarkably tasty though.

You Can’t Take It With You - Silent Brew - 5.5% ABV. B++, hazy murk. Fruity, juicy, hoppy, hint of earthiness with a lingering fruity bitter finish

3.5/5. There’s a band and this is £7.30 a Pint. Britain in 2024. However, I going it may well be worth it @beersofmastodon

Punk IPA - BrewDog - 5.2% ABV. B++ and a touch. It’s still got it and in one of those glasses I didn’t think existed. Prost

3.6/5. I could probably stay all day in The Posset Cup but they would need and better beers. However, this Punk works @beersofmastodon

Cosmic Pale Ale - Tiny Rebel / Greene King - 4.2% ABV. B+ and a bit, maybe with a hint of fruitiness as it warms up?

3.3/5. The FA Cup is now up and working on the TV. Ironic that it’s easier to get Tiny Rebel in Portishead than Newport @beersofmastodon
