You may remember that I asked if you would send me recordings of what you noticed, so that I could make a very special 100th episode of my podcast with your voices? Well you did, and thank you so much, because it is absolutely beautiful! 🧡 Here it is: https://freshairproduction.co.uk/podcast/stopping-to-notice/
“The upcoming production will use binaural technology to create a 3D sound world, which the audience will experience through headphones, placing them inside the head of the central couple.”
Any recommendations for #binaural#microphone for the #iPhone? I know about Ambeo Smart, however that seems to be discontinued and I am scared it will stop working soon. #audio#askfedi
So today I share with y'all one of the songs that was performed at the concert I went to on the 3rd of june this year.
The title is burning love, and it was one of the best performance of that concert. I've of course got the go ahead from the band to share it. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
I was in the second row of seats, and I find the accoustic of this room to be absolutely terrific. The room was about full as well, some folks had to remain standing. #binaural#binauralaudio#concert#fieldrecording
It's once again that time of the year, the time to record the national holiday's fireworks in the nearest city to my town has arrived.
So I've fully charged my 20000 mAh powerbank, verified that my 128 gb micro sd card is working as expected, made sure to connect the bluetooth dongle of my zoom f3 already, ensured my mics are still working good...
So, last month I got an opportunity to get an awesome dummy head for binaural recordings, along with a neat tripod from https://sr3d.co.uk and I've been using it ever since with my Zoom F3 recorder to provide some awesome ambiences from my place when I have the time and motivation. I noticed however that some sounds, especially glass plates clinking, even a loud clap in my hands, would often cause a very strange distortion, so I set out to find what the hell was going on. #binaural#binauralaudio#fieldrecording#pipewire
Sometimes I don’t understand people – take this for example
This week the most listened to track on my al bum “No Laments for Pale Sunsets” seems to have been what I consider the worst track on there, it’s my least favourite, the one I don’t like, and incidentally the one I spent most time turning into an almost totally different track from it’s origins and still didn’t like the result all that much but as I’d spent so much time on it, it went into the album anyway
verse 1:
thermo dynamo
b b f# g a
throw on set to go
a b c# b a
part you’re faster now
charting vacant glow
rebel quirk you know
metal work plateau
chorus:
Way life appears - we don’t understand
b a b c# - b c# b c# d
Send your idea - to boundary lands
Maybe I’m near - the master of plans
Send your idea - to boundary lands
verse 2:
work to leave the plane
up our ether lane
terse by weave inane
supply entertain
touch your whisker gain
particular drain
middle 8:
surface flow, metal grow, heat beat ratio
d d f# g a g e d e c# d
orange glow, warm glass show, air where apropos
d d f# g a g e d e c# d
chorus 2:
Way life appears - we don’t understand
Send your idea - to boundary lands
Maybe I’m near - the master of plans
Send your idea - to boundary lands
(Yes, as you’ve almost certainly guessed, the original lyric (verses and middle eight) was a song about thermionic emission, but with the new chorus lyrics it suddenly became transformed into a wistful song about human and personal achievement via transmission of ideas, hrmph)

I was out recording a few things and one of my cats ran up to me and wanted to talk. Say hi to Lucy. In binaural audio! Might want to wear headphones for the best effect. #Recordings#Binaural#Sound#Cats
