Somebody might have to drag the exhausted #Nuggets to the airport, but they held off the #Blazers with spirited fourth-quarter defense and seven players in double figures.
Aaron Gordon carried #Denver for much of the game, posting 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three blocks while taking a beating in the lane like a #Broncos linebacker. Reggie Jackson added 23 points and five assists.
As you might expect without Joker and Murray, it was a choppy first quarter on offense, but the #Nuggets brought energy on defense. Reggie Jackson and Colin Gillespie combined for 13 points from the point. Nuggets 26, #Blazers 22. #NBA@nba
Joker gets his triple-double with 2:26 left in the third quarter — a two-handed, backhanded pass through three #Blazers to Christian Braun for a layup. #Nuggets#NBA@nba
#Portland led wire-to-wire in the first half, but #Denver’s slowly crawling back into it. Joker’s scored a casual 17; Murray has 11 points. #Blazers 63, #Nuggets 60, halftime. #NBA@nba
#Portland’s shooting well, but they’re getting too many open threes. #Denver needs to contest more of those. #Blazers 37, #Nuggets 25, end of the first quarter. #NBA@nba
The #Blazers were sneaking back into the game with Joker on the bench again, but Peyton Watson just nailed a three — his seventh point in the last two minutes — to stretch the lead back to 10. #Nuggets#NBA@nba
#Portland worked its way back into the game when Joker was on the bench, and it’s been tight ever since. Joker’s been quietly dominant — 11 points, 12 boards and seven assists in the first half. KCP also has 11 points. #Nuggets 59, #Blazers 55, halftime. #NBA@nba
No letdown for the #Nuggets. Good energy, especially from Aaron Gordon, and the offense looks smooth with Joker back. KCP leads the way with seven points. Nuggets 33, #Blazers 20, end of the first quarter. #NBA@nba
Was psyched to go see the Pacers tonight. I think Halliburton, Turner and Siakam can be a legit Big 3. Was not expecting a #blazers win. Especially without Ant and Sharpe. Great game! #trailblazers#ripcity#pdx#nba
Damian Lillard followed Jimmy Butler and unfollowed the #PDX#Portland#TrailBlazers on #Instagram as The Most Loyal Guy In The #NBA (TM, Pat. Pend.) looks to land in Party City and the #Blazers keep on committing the heresy of signing young talent.
I wouldn't get too excited about Damian Lillard getting traded anywhere just yet. The GM said he is going to take his time, will do what's best for the team, wants to do right by Lillard but often players don't go where they desire to go, and he thinks the best outcome might be for DL to change his mind. Arms wide open, as it were.
I got into 2 ridesharing #NBA discussions with drivers. The first guy likes the #TrailBlazers & thinks #Lillard needs another vet or two on the team. He's enthusiastic about their prospects. The second guy can't stand the #Blazers, thinks they're too young.
I think we all listen to too much sports talk radio. The team will acquire the best players possible w/o regard to need if they wind up with trade bait. 3 starting PG's? Too many starting forwards? Excess centers? What a crisis. 🙄 Patience.
OC How to wear Sneakers with Tailoring (thesecondbutton.com)
There's no such thing as a dress sneaker. But that doesn't mean you can't wear sneakers with tailoring. You just need to put together a casual outfit.
