@muffinista I'd definitely not make it a rule that alt text is required for image bots, people will just end up posting garbage, but maybe it would be worth mentioning that it's useful when signing up for a new account?
Someone researching the topic of "social bots and how they can become of use as a weapon for media literacy" reached out asking for examples of "bots fighting racism, hate speech etc".
2023 is the year that @vgan and @WeavingWithAI get together and make a bot-baby that makes people guess the prompts used to create an AI art image #bots#AIArt#botmakers
I found and forked a repo for a kbin #bot, and created a clone of @lol that runs on #kbin: meet @MegaHAL. I haven't gotten the bot to learn from on-site posts yet, because the code scrapes HTML from kbin in the absence of a working site API, which is hard to parse. The original repo owner is almost done with a basic #API, though, so that may change very soon. Watch this space. #bots#chatBots#botMakers
For bots that post random stuff from a list, do you post completely randomly, or do you tweak your bot to, for example, avoid posting the same thing twice in a row?
@botwiki I was wondering what kind of bots do than. Now I see, mostly useless bots.
And I came with an idea of my own. There could be a bot that checks if there is an alt text, and if not reminds posters to add it.
