I decided (again) to prepare for the #cpacc exam by the #iaap after I had some doubt of it's usefulness.
But after doing a non-technical workshop for #accessibility newbies last week and believing that the #eaa will have some impact, I decided to go for it!
I'm using the @dequesystems prep course and read everything with 200% zoom. Unfortunately this makes paragraphs very long, so I'd like to share a #bookmarklet I quickly created to shorten them:

Me: “If you haven’t actively done anything about accessibility, you are not ready and you probably won’t be. If you want to be ready, you have to 100% follow what I am saying, no discussions.”
Und nicht nur für den öffentlichen Sektor (und ihre Zuliefernden) interessant – die Europäische Norm 301 549 wird ja auch für das #BFSG (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz) interessant.
Man kann in die Vereinigten Staaten schauen, um Klagen gegen "AI"-Einsätze zu sehen, die Barrierefreiheitskonformität erzeugen sollen.
Man mag es als Eigenart des US-amerikanischen Rechtssystems sehen, dass überhaupt viel geklagt wird und aus europäischer Sicht mit dem Schultern zucken.
Bis einem auffällt, dass der #EAA/das #BFSG Mitbewerbern und betroffenen Kund*innen ebenfalls ein schärferes Schwert an die Hand gibt: Das Informieren von Marktüberwachungsbehören.
Kurz zum sogenannten Karottenprinzip: Was den #EAA (das #BFSG in Deutschland) von bisherigen, den öffentlichen Sektor betreffenden Regelungen unterscheidet ist, vereinfacht gesagt, dass es potenziell Strafen bei Nichteinhaltung geben kann. Dass mögliche Strafzahlungen dazu führen können, dass Gesetze und ihre Absichten ernster genommen werden, hat 2018 die EU-DSGVO gezeigt.
Die IAAP D-A-CH möchte ein Verzeichnis aufbauen, in dem Expertinnen und Experten für #Barrierefreiheit (auch Nicht-Mitglieder / unabhängig von Zertifikaten) erfasst sind, so dass Suchende einfach und zuverlässig qualifizierte Partner finden können, um ihre Produkte und Dienstleistungen #barrierefrei zu gestalten und damit unter anderem auf den #EAA beziehungsweise das #BFSG vorzubereiten. Bitte bringt euch durch Teilnahme an dieser Umfrage ein und gestaltet mit!
Wir haben uns in den letzten Tagen intensivst mit dem #EuropeanAccessibilityAct beziehungsweise mit dem #Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz beschäftigt und einen umfassenden Überblick zusammengestellt, der hoffentlich gerade für Wirtschaftsakteure hilfreich ist, die sich noch nicht mit den neuen Anforderungen ab 2025 beschäftigt haben. My 15YO granddaughter just texted and asked me to send her a pic of “my favorite airplane.” I wanted to send her 34,000 pics of all of them, but in the interest of SMS overcharges, narrowed it down to this one.
I flew with the #Duggy crew into Rock Falls, IL for the “Last Time” DC-3/C-47 reunion, and then was on the flight deck as they flew the Warbird Island arrival to RWY 27 into Oshkosh. We waved at the #avgeeks on the Ardy and Ed’s patio as we slid overhead.
I'm so grateful because it enables me to give something back to all the study participants who gave their free time without any compensation due to the limited financial possibilities. 🙏🏻
The thesis investigates the impact of #AccessibilityOverlays on #UX and #usability for individuals with visual impairments. Findings will be published in 2024.

I took this yesterday at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is a B-25 with its crew. Shortly after I took this, they wheeled it onto the grass for takeoff.
Here are a few more photos from inside of Doc, at the #EAA#AirVenture, yesterday. The front and rear parts of the plane are pressurized but the bomb bays aren't. There is a tube going from the front to the back, to deal with that.
