@marcprecipice 1. First, determine what city this photo is in. You can't determine exactly where in a city (usually), but the shortcut is to copy and paste the photo into Google images. (images.google.com). This quickly gets me to New York City/Lower Manhattan, if you didn't recognize the buildings. (I did not) #geolocation#tutorial

@marcprecipice 7. That leaves this building, probably (or one farther back) as the source of the photo location. Rotating 180 degrees, looks like it's that building, or if I'm off the one to the left. Nice lounge in there, wonder if it's that location or a private residence/office? Any further #geolocation would require doing some measurement of exact floor and what is on the floor; you can generally get the right room, if you spend some time on triangulation of the features to view.
Worst ever disaster #movie 🙄 #geolocation. "Geo-Disaster" Most of it filmed in Malibu Creek State Park. Plenty of use of amateur radio in the plotline throughout the few minutes I was able to bear to listen to, with a bunch of technically correct things in there... leading me to believe a ham radio person was involved somehow. The dialog and acting though 😬
Random #geolocation of the day. #Maui#Hawaii 20.87228033,-156.67778483 -- geolocation via the position of the vehicles; note they are on the wrong side of the road. A scan of streets shows there is only one place with that odd arrangement of parking spaces, and recent aerial imaging shows on cars parked oddly like that anywhere else. Google Street view confirms, and recent imagery is consistent with the first photo.
