Sunset at Glasgow's Riverside Museum. Designed by Zaha Hadid, it was first opened in 2011. The reflections in the window shows the buildings of the Clyde Waterfront further up the river.
Stobcross Crane No 7, AKA the Finnieston Crane, against this evening's sunset. I know I photograph this crane a lot, but sometimes I just can't resist it!
Tonight's sunset at the Finnieston Crane in Glasgow.
There's only a week or so on either side of the Winter Solstice when the sun goes down like this directly behind the crane and it's even rarer for this to happen when the weather's clear enough to see it!
I love the sunsets in Glasgow at this time of year. Sometimes they fill the whole sky, but at other times, like today, you have to hunt around the horizon to find the best bits.
Looking west across Glasgow from Port Dundas at dusk. In the right foreground is the 1860s Wheatsheaf Building on Speirs Wharf, in the middle is the 1960s Woodside High Flats, while in the left background is the distinctive 1870s gothic tower of Glasgow University.
The newly arrived Govan-Partick Bridge sitting on Yorkhill Quay in Glasgow this evening, waiting to be moves into its final position. It's going to be a stunning addition to the city's skyline when its finished.
A sunset shot looking west from Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow taken a few days ago. The building is Glasgow University, while the statue is part of the Lord Roberts Monument.
Another sunset shot from this evening in the west end of Glasgow. This time it shows a Scots Renaissance style building silhouetted against the sky. Designed by A.B. MacDonald and built in 1904, this is the wonderfully ornate Partick sewage treatment works!
