While enjoying a peaceful paddle on Lake Arrowhead, I come around the end of Dragonfly Island and am presented with this mystifying view, looking down Loon Pass on Lake Arrowhead in Waterboro, Maine.
This inverted image of Ballaine Lake shows a vivid reflection of dark clouds and a forest. The sky, filled with towering clouds, reflects into the water, creating a dramatic and distorted view. The top part of the image is the reflection, and the bottom part shows the trees along the lake's edge. The photo was taken in late summer at Ballaine Lake in Fairbanks, Alaska.
In the #java and #csharp OOP programming languages, #reflection is used to not only review an object’s private fields and methods, but also to access and change them.
This is used for instance by large #dependencyinjection libraries and frameworks, by preprocessors, and of course by the standard library itself.
It is dangerous because it can break a class’ definition of what should be private and inaccessible.
I need to remember that Mastodon exists! I’m currently writing a bunch of content to do with PHP and this would be the perfect place to talk about that.
I’m currently trying to decide whether #php#reflection is an interesting enough topic that people may like an in-depth course/series on it. It seems to be something a lot of people are vaguely aware of, but don’t really know the details.
