🤔 I spotted Sophie Lorain in a recent Quebec production. I immediately remembered where I first loved her acting ... no, wait, all I recall is her emodiment (brilliant, bumbling, serious, relentless).
Took me ages to hunt it down: the series Fortier (2004). 30 yrs, but the image remains: wire glasses, mop of hair, black skirt, slim legs, clunky shoes. Fumbling her bag as she enters.
Sadly, since covid, such a memory no longer connects to the facts needed to provide context, as it used to 🙁
@annaleen Whistle's problem with language feels like my experience when learning my 2nd (& 3rd) language: mind of an intelligent adult, vocabulary of a child. 🤦♀️ I feel for him. #theTerraformers
🤔 We too often presume we know how successful people feel, and we compare our critical inside to their successful outside…
And yet here is the author, saying they struggle for words. Now I'm thinking about what I struggle with. And my clients.
It seems that the thing we struggle with shapes, in an important way, the valuable thing we bring to others. I love being a midwife to gently help these gifts into the world. #iLoveMyJob#lifeCoach
Ah, I love my clients! I just had one come back for a one-hour tune-up ... I didn't realise it had been FIVE years! Ah, the pandemic was a bit of a black hole, wasn't it?
Next week my DBH2 students (12 year old boys and girls) will take a Technology assessment test. We have been working on the design of elementary 3D parts with Freecad. Some of the tasks are very simple, others a bit more complicated.
As it usually happens with the rest of the subjects, there are students who are very good at designing and others who find it more difficult. The truth is that most of them have worked very well so I am optimistic about the results of the test. 🤞🤞
