Tonight in 1957 — I LOVE LUCY aired its last original episode.

It was the #1 show on TV when Lucy and Desi decided to end it after 6 seasons.

The characters returned in 13 one-hour specials (1957-1960) known as THE LUCY-DESI COMEDY HOUR.

People often talk about the courage of Lucille Ball when she refused to hide her pregnancy, but there was much more than that.
