The former Rikuzentakata youth hostel. Rikuzentakata in Iwate prefecture was almost completely destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The remains of the youth hostel now sits on the the grounds of the Takatamatsubaru Memorial Park, where the very impressive Iwate Tsunami Memorial Museum is located.
