So, today's #JukeBoxFridayNight theme is #ThatFirstTime. The idea, from what I'm seeing, is a song / tune that had a huge impact or really stuck with you when you first heard it.
This was one of the first #KPop songs that really stuck with me & got me interested in hearing more. I don't know what it was about it, but it hit me. Before that, honestly, never really listened to any.
I was a HUGE S.E.S. fan. Do y'all know them? They were early 2000s-era K-pop and had a couple of amazing albums. Great from beginning to end.

When thinking of that, my mind when to #NineInchNails. But, the more I looked into it, the more I realized a lot of their songs despite their funky beats follow a pretty basic 4/4 time signature.
You know what isn't? Shut Down by #Blackpink. While it appears to be in 6/8 which is not the most wildly uncommon time signature, it's still non-standard & frankly, the best track off their most recent album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POe9SOEKotk
I really wanted to love this release, and it is fun and the production is great and the MV is sweet nostalgia ... but I must admit I'm not delighted like I was when their 2nd Ep dropped. Cute and cool tho.
Okay, so this week's Tune Tuesday from @Kitty has a theme of "It's For You" from @derthomas. The idea being you can dedicate a song to someone on Fedi.
Me looking at K-Pop albums and pre-orders: I...I don't want all these stickers, photos, Polaroids, posters, etc. I literally just want to pre-order a CD or digital album.
