#XMen97 is some of the best work #MarvelStudios has done in years. People who complain about 'comic accuracy' don't understand that what the #MCU does best is take the BEST elements of several stories to tell one cohesive story and tell it well.

I came up with a better way of how Wanda could've been handled in the MCU. She retains all the things she learned in WandaVision while still going on a path of villainy as her character so deserved. 1/n #marvel#mcu
The film will focus on Doctor Strange more than Wanda. The main villain will be Nightmare, with Mordo as a secondary antagonist. This comes after Spider-man: No Way Home, and Strange will deal with the consequences of the multiverse opening up on 616.
He will ask for Wanda's help to defeat Nightmare and Mordo, as well as closing the gaps between multiverses that were left open. 3/n #marvel#mcu
Early on in the movie, Doctor Strange warns Wanda about the dangers of the Darkhold; Wanda assures him that she is the only one powerful enough to keep the Darkhold safe.
Later, in a desperate attempt at resolving a very serious incursion, Wanda uses the Darkhold's magic. In a post-credit scene, Wanda's hands will be shown to turn darker and darker, signifying her slow corruption because of the Darkhold. 4/n #marvel#mcu
So yeah, in summary, I think the early MCU films are great cause they are full of character.
That they would go on to choke the life out of all mainstream cinema is unfortunate.
I had a moment of "Hey Tom, are you being unfair?" and no I don't think so. If a studio comes to dominate the cultural output of a medium, then they are open to all the criticism that comes with that.
Apparently #Marvel retired the original skull logo for #ThePunisher because it was being used by alt right extremists.
Are they really that surprised that a pro America white terrorist is relatable to alt right groups? I've only watched the #MCU#Netflix shows, but he was never portrayed as any sort of hero.
@icedquinn@vriska@sun Well, he doesn't really make sense in most superhero contexts. He has no superpowers beyond being "really good". I kept having to pinch myself while watching #ThePunisher because it didn't feel like it was #Marvel-related at all, even with #Daredevil cameos.
I don't think that the #MCU could or would do anything without characters who have superpowers. I think the only time they've done this is #Hawkeye.

There is a very strong rumor that (if true) would be incredible for the fans of #Xmen. The rumor is that #MarvelStudios is VERY pleased with the success of #Xmen97 and are considering carrying this team into live-action in the #MCU.
If this is true, they would forgo the traditional origin story and give us the complete team introduced during the upcoming #SecretWars storyline. Personally, I think this is a GREAT idea. We don't need the origins of these beloved characters. To me, my X-men. 😎
