You might recall my interactive collection that I've worked on this year. I got stuck on one, then focused on other projects, but I finally made something new and different for it this week. I experimented with a new system I call Dazzle, Tilt, Zigzag, in which I have found several different illusions. They're not new effects, but the compositions are, and the system is fun to play around with. See the alt texts for more details.

The large vertical white and black columns appear to tilt to the left.
The rectangle shapes appear to bulge outwards.
The portions between the blue/green rectangles appear to be different color/brightness than the rest of the purple/orange background

📐En direct du studio d’art, les élèves de CM2 imaginent des illusions d’optique pour créer des dessins qui semblent avoir une profondeur ou un mouvement.📏Grâce à cette activité d'art: Créer une "illusion", les élèves ont appris comment le cerveau traite les informations visuelles qu’il reçoit de l’œil.👁️🧠

More for : Victor Vasarely (Hungarian, 1906-1997), , 1937 and 1938 versions. Vasarely was a pioneer of modern (this is considered one of the very first works of the genre) and he returned to the zebra motif often throughout his career.
