"The Big Web is the centralised web; it is a web in the sense of a spider’s web [...] The Big Web has “users”": one "can fit thousands of users into a single server and Megacorps “scale” to run thousands upon thousands of servers in their farms" [1]
"On the Big Web, you never own your own home. You must rent your home from Megacorps. Most often, you don’t have to pay for your home using money" [1] #decentralisation
A good curl reference guide:
Everything curl https://everything.curl.dev/
"Everything curl is an extensive guide for all things curl. The project, the command-line tool, the library, how everything started and how it came to be the useful tool it is today. It explains how we work on developing it further, what it takes to use it, how you can contribute with code or bug reports and why millions of existing users use it. #linux#curl#book#reference
IMO the single most important thing about the Vision Pro is the screen quality.
I've used the Oculus Rift, DK1&2, Quest 1&2, HTC Vive, and a smattering of other devices. The main limitation they all shared was a lack of image clarity. The screen door effect was worse with earlier devices, but they all suffered from it to some extent.
The main thing I want to know is how this device's visuals compare to other hardware and it's equivalent pixel density on a desktop monitor
Looking around a bit more, it seems that the question I want answered is: how many pixels per degree (ppd) does this device have?
As an interesting point of referenced, CSS defines a reference pixel as "the visual angle of one pixel on a device with a device pixel density of 96dpi and a distance from the reader of an arm’s length." For an arm length of 28 inches, that's 0.0213 degrees or ~47 ppd. https://www.w3.org/TR/css-values-4/#reference-pixel
I'll start off my first -real- post with, well, me!
This is the third ref sheet I've gotten for myself, back in 2020 and made by Isvoc over at http://isvoc-art.com/. The previous one lasted 6 years, and really the only reason I got the new one was to clarify a few things; that and Isvoc was one of my first choices originally so I did it now that i could!
Overall I guess you could say my look dates back to at least 2006, with just tweaks where necessary.
