I don't know much about fae-folk. But your post reminds me of 2 things. #Socrates, considered the prime generator of the Western philosophical tradition, had "a little spirit thing"—a kind of guiding voice. He had it since the time he was a boy.
And, secondly, the Greek word for that spirit thing was daimonion, and that term, sadly, over the Christian centuries, came to be re-conceived of as "demon."
I'm happy to see that #SoCraTes2023 created quite some new sign-ups on Mastodon, because the conference didn't really happen on Twitter and there were many attendees who created their Mastodon accounts because of the conference. Only 13 attendees tweeted during the conference. In my book, the SoCraTes Germany community has left Twitter and I hope this can serve as a good example for other #SoCraTes events around the world: Mastodon is ready to maintain the post-event connections.
The only applicable response to your friend questioning your mental health is “Ah, sure you know yourself”. Oh? You know yourself do ya?
Don’t let them know that beneath the job, the weekends, nights out, cut up coke, suntan holidays, Friday haircuts, meaningless relationships, and mild anxiety, you don’t know yourself at all.
@devxvda 🥥 I've been avoiding knowing myself all my life, Dr. Nick, because I didn't like myself.
Besides in a book by #Plato, the character of #Socrates convinced me that we can't really KNOW anything anyway. 🥥
