A bottle of what Sotheby’s is calling “the most sought-after Scotch whisky” is set to go up for auction next month, with an estimated price of up to €1.3 million.
The auction house said the 96-year-old bottle of single malt from distiller Macallan - The Macallan Adami 1926 - will come under the hammer in London on 18 November.
It's painful watching the #FreddieMercury#Auction, all the significant iconic, cultural and indeed legendary pieces being separated and scattered around the globe to the richest of rich people. It's a feeding frenzy of wealthy vultures. Such a shame, a great, great shame.
I visited Sotheby's in London the other week to look and it left a huge lump in my throat.

Owners of Bored Ape NFTs are suing Sotheby's for deceiving them with an auction where now-disgraced cryptocurrency trading company FTX bought a significant portion of the shitty art tokens, without publicizing that it was FTX, thus "misleadingly creating the impression that the market for BAYC NFTs had crossed over to a mainstream audience."
