But there’s a stack of books to go through in order to understand the maths of the FFT. I know what the RealFFT crate is doing: I can see the graph of amplitude/frequency output from the input time/amplitude data… but I have to know how it works. There’s a very good explanation in “Digital Signal Processing A Practical Approach” by Ifeachor & Jervis (with a C implementation) & the autodidact-friendly approach in “Linear Signals & Systems 2e” by B.P. Lathi is much appreciated.

@franksting @bookstodon At least some of them are library books, so at some point you'll have to return them, right? My is out of control.

Also a day for starting a new book, which has been on my pile for quite some time, and finally risen to the top at an apposite moment for several reasons. @bookstodon 📖

As it happens, the next book on my pile is by Benjamin Zephaniah, but I'm taking ages on my current one, so who knows when I'll read it. @bookstodon 📖

I genuinely sometimes worry I have too many books but I have just read that Edward Gorey amassed a collection of about 25000 books and still professed that "There's no such thing as too many books" so I have a way to go 📚☺️📚

I keep looking at my tottering, towering To Be Read Piles and wondering whether I will live long enough to actually get through them ... and then I spot more bargains online or in a charity shop and build them higher.
