Seeing more "X historical figure had thoughts about gender and their own femininity, therefore was secretly a trans woman" on my feed, which is always a subtle unpleasant reminder that my binary trans women sisters might tolerate me, but will always be wedded to a binary gendered view of human nature. 😮‍💨

@Tattie I think they come to that conclusion because the little hints of femininity were all most men were acceptably allowed to display. So it’s easy to go straight from man to “oh must’ve been a trans woman!”

You’re right though, that is nonbinary ERASURE!! But not something those people are doing because they just ‘tolerate’ nonbinary people, they’re doing it because that is the simplest conclusion. We love our nonbinary pals :)

anyone have ideas for limiting an (iOS) app’s usage (on a single device) to a hyper-specific location? (Too specific for GPS)

I have blank NFC tags I could use, but I’m not sure how. I think I could potentially involve the parental controls on iPhone, but again, not sure if there’s a way to actually do this..

sodium-ion batteries are finally starting to hit the market. Sodium is much more abundant than lithium but at the moment they're more expensive than comparable LiFePo batteries which have similar energy densities. But it is new technology, so it will probably come down

@poppyhaze if the battery is hot swappable just carry a few of them and get back to normal range! Totally worth it imo

Just finished reading volume 25 of Jujutsu Kaisen in Japanese! Now I have to decide if I want to wait for the next volume to release or start reading chapter by chapter until I catch up to Shounen Jump

Like with all Jujutsu Kaisen volumes I've read in Japanese, the typical Shounen battle manga power/ability discussion was very difficult to follow, but the battles themselves are easier to understand.

Today is my HRTversary! Yay!! 🎉🥳🎊

One year ago I began Estradiol monotherapy, just 0.5 MG sublingually twice a day. And that dosage has steadily increased every few months. There was a brief stint taking Spironolactone before my orchiectomy in October, and thank Zod I don't have to swallow that crap anymore.

Recently, I started taking 2 MG of Estradiol sublingually three times a day, so 6 MG total each day. And that may increase again in another month or so. Or I might move to injections. It all depends on my next blood test.

At the first consultation with my doctor, he asked me what I hoped to get out of Hormone Replacement Therapy. Without blinking an eye I said, "Boobs."

And I do have boobs now. Which is delightful. THEY'RE JUST NOT BIG ENOUGH YET, DAMMIT!

I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by the progress. Still, my bust size is at least two inches larger than my band size. And I've been wearing a size 38 B for over a month now.

Let's just hope that growth, pathetic as it might be, continues! My boobs have been hurting non-stop since two weeks to the day after I started HRT, so something has be going on in there with Laverne and Shirley.

What? You didn't name your boobs? BTW, Laverne is the left one, obviously.

There are other benefits from HRT, of course. The softer skin is nice even though it bruises easier. And I'm starting to notice some shifting of body fat to more appropriate areas. Let's hope that continues as well.

How will I celebrate this milestone? This afternoon, @jessica and I, along with @erl, are taking @rooster on a clothes shopping trip! She needs the right outfit for her upcoming job interview as well as the actual job. Because, duh, they're gonna hire her. They're not stupid.

Then the four of us will meet @caroline for a tasty ramen dinner. Afterwards we'll all gather around my big-ass TV with lots of appropriate snacks to watch "Barbie" because of course we would do that.

Should be fun. I'm sure we'll all keep you posted. 😊🥰💖

I'm getting my first colonoscopy on Monday (that goes in the baby book, I assume?), and the dietary restrictions get really stringent the day beforehand: an all-clear-liquid diet.
