@AAMfP@fosstodon.org

I like free software, Kanban and 改善.
I did wwwjdic and gravity Ruby gems.
I've done a Kanban metrics Calc spreadsheet called AAMfP, available on GNU Savannah.
I'm learning to be a proper Scrum Master after 20+ years as a SW developer and I'm creating a TypeScript/React Native App called TKCompanionApp available on F-Droid.

Tomorrow I'll check better.

If you use Obsidian with the KanBan community plug-in, you likely filter cards by a search term from time to time. Especially on huge kanban boards with a ton of cards.

Here is the problem: By default, non-matching cards are dimmed while matching cards keep their style. I find it visually too cluttered. I’d prefer to only see my matching cards.

Here is my silly reverse-engineered CSS-only solution. Definitely one of my funniest selectors. Works great.

#Obsidian #KanBan #CSS #Markdown

Screenshots of a kanban board coparing the same board before adding the css code and after adding the css code. In the before state the search term #hateit is active. All matching cards light up. All no matchin cards are dimmed. After adding the CSs code the same filter only shows the matching cards. All non-matching cards are gone. Way less visual clutter.

@yuliyan
From Kanban method point of view, I'm wondering why there should be so many work items that you need to search for them.

@AAMfP@fosstodon.org avatar

@yuliyan Indeed a huge kanban board... Good luck and happy filtering, then. 😉

Ciao @Codeberg . I know I'm a bit (too much) paranoic: I'm using RethinkDNS to protect my privacy from trackers and the like.
And I've turned on almost all lists, just in case.
Some privacy lists (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cbuijs/accomplist/master/family-safe/plain.black.domain.list and https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cbuijs/accomplist/master/tlds/plain.black.domain.list) track "codeberg.page" as Adult/ParentalControl and Security/Bad Top-Level Domains, so blocking it.
Should I try open a bug to the lists or are you going to explain the URL yourself to the authors?

Orgmode is way easier to remember, if you know your HTML: a tag has the href field with the url, and inside the tag the text.

< a href ... > text < / a >

So also Orgmode: first the url, then the text.

wigglytuffitout, to mechanicalkeyboards

so out of curiosity because i feel like the answer here is "still eye-bleedingly expensive", o tag, but

is there any place out there making mechanical keyboard, uh, boards? like the base you customize with keys you like etc etc?, for split keyboards? fully split down the middle, in two pieces, not just ergonomically slanted but two actual pieces of the keyboard that can be a few feet apart or more if you get a longer cable?

because not going to lie, even as i find it immensely useful and an incredibly necessary thing for me to even use a computer... i kinda want an upgrade for the split keyboard i have. with a longer cord. but it's already as long as the kinesis freestyle 2 gets lol. i am mildly dreaming of a split keyboard where the two parts are attached by like. a stupidly long cord, but done up in curlicues like wired telephones connecting base to handset so it's relatively out of the way but then can stretch across the room if you're walking and talking and also it is 1993.

i would also, not gonna lie, enjoy using prettier keys sometimes. and i feel like i am ALMOST to a point where, technically, and through the grace of my dad's really excellent "used to write articles for electronics magazines reviewing ICs" workshop up there, and health-wise, but let's be real it's mostly coasting off my dad's shit, i think i could have the ability to put together Babby's First Customized Mechanical Keyboard?? fisher-price level beginner mind you where you're basically plugging stuff into stuff into other stuff with only a little soldering or whatever. but i'm like. JUST ABOUT THERE.

i have no fucking clue if such a thing is even goddamn made, mind you. but if someone who knows about mechanical keyboards could maybe give me a heads up if this thing even exists or is doable, i would dearly love that. thank you for your wisdom, keyboard clackers

I had been wanting to try a mechanical keyboard, but I was daunted by the dizzying array of choices of components and styles.

Then I was gifted a KBDcraft Adam. I like it a lot, but the keys are SO SENSITIVE! If I THINK about the "D" key, I have typed a whole line of Ds before I can stop it.

So, now that I have "established a baseline" of the Adam and its "S² Engine" switches, what switches or other mods should I consider to add a bit of travel or effort?

Thx!

Obligatory yearly toot about #FOSS so I can stay on #Fosstodon 🎉

I saw the other day that German state Schleswig-Holstein is going to switch to fully #FOSS. Which is great and hope it works out for them.

Having set up a fully (F)OSS (desktops, apps, servers, etc) IT env for a large non-profit, might I suggest proper enterprise support instead of a lone coffee-addicted sysadmin who tries to keep systems together with hopes, prayers and duct tape? 🥲

The problem of compatibility are on MS side, not @libreoffice: I'm using it, exclusively, on my PCs since it was called StarOffice, eons ago.

The issues were for people using MS Office that saw my files in (partly) strange ways. 😉

Yes!
I've helped a friend and used LO to read and recover an old graduation thesis written with MS Write (and partly on an old Word), that was no more readable with newer MS Office versions.

I'm not sure if anyone here would find this useful, but as well as writing, I also blog about analogue tools to help me plan better.

I'm the creator of "The Alastair Method" for Bullet Journalling and have recently expanded this to show people how to project manage on paper.

Details are here:

Lovely!

I'm also a professional Kanban guy (Scrum Master to a couple of teams, playing with Kanban method and metrics) and I'm thinking about some few tiny modifications to (hopefully) improve it in a more Kanban-accurate way.
As soon as it'll be ready, I would like to post it to my "digital garden" here https://marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/kaizen.html but first I'd like to send it to you for your opinion, if you don't mind.
