@thomas @MiseryPath @sven222 In Flaschen abfüllen ist wirklich ganz schön Aufwand. Und Selbstgebrautes in Flaschen zu verschicken ist außerdem heikel, weil man die Kohlensäure und damit den Druck immer nur abschätzen kann. 💥

The idea would be for members of our instance to write and record a metal song together. I'm confident that we have enough musicians here to get this off the ground.

@MiseryPath @thomas I’m mediocre at guitar, clumsy at bass, and can maybe sing a wobbly line or two either in harsh or clean voice (the latter if the melody is in the right key, which I think somewhat around C/D/E would be OK). If needed, I also have some mixing skills.
All of that would have to fit with the time constraints of having a family, a band and some other minor hobbies, though. 😄

@Fischblog @BlumeEvolution @irgendwiejuna @Mela Aus meinem Bachelor der Informatik bin ich persönlich mit der Haltung rausgegangen „Es gibt nichts gutes, außer man tut es“. Das gepaart mit einer Hybris, stets auf der richtigen Seite der technischen Fortschritts zu stehen, kann ich mir als Ursache vorstellen für den Glauben, schlauer zu sein als alle anderen und alle belehren zu müssen.

@Fischblog @funbaker Erinnert mich an ein Spiel, das ich vor ca zehn Jahren mit meiner damaligen Festivalgruppe auf einem nämlichem spielte. Es begann mit der Vorstellung, unsanft die Tür zum für die Gruppe gemieteten Dixi aufzureißen und die dort ihr Geschäft verrichtende Person über etwas sehr wichtiges in Kenntnis zu setzen: „Verzeihung, Sie sitzen auf meinem Stuhl!“

Der Rest der Stuhl-Witze schrieb sich wie von selbst. Highlight: „Fahrstuhl“. 🤡

@Fischblog @funbaker Wir waren damals jedenfalls allzeit bereit, Festivalneulingen den gesundheitlich unbedenklichen Umgang mit derlei Toiletten beizubringen, zu welchem Zwecke wir selbstredend einen eigenen Lehrstuhl ins Leben riefen.

I hooked up my laptop to my AV receiver / Hifi via HDMI and I had no chance to even hear a difference between A and B.

I'm curious if you can tell the difference on your audio setups?

@thomas Most interesting. I felt really out in the woods most of the time, and was least confident with the songs I appear to have performed best at. And I'm sitting in front of OK-ish studio monitors here. 😄 It also taught me that being honed on a genre doesn't help as much as I thought.

What I was really looking for were the dead giveaways of former times where you could always tell by the cymbals. That is obviously gone, and impossible for songs that don't have a lot of them (e.g. 2nd one).
