1. Yah! I finally have my new bed scheduled for delivery. Time to say goodbye to the air mattress and be an adult.

2. Walked about 3.5 miles today.

3. Needed a restroom while out walking so bought a soda from a food cart so I could get the code. It smelled so good that I came back later and they had the dish I had wanted a few days ago.

Well today my tummy reacted to the reintroduction of legumes. I am glad I followed the diet and did not add other things because now I know. But to be fair I only experienced a slight improvement on the diet.
Next will be non gluten grains like corn, oats, quinoa. But one more day of whole foods before doing that.

November 2022 I got notice that when my lease expired at my apartment my rent was going up. I don't recall the exact amount but let's say $140 without a lease and $80 with a lease. This particular area requires 90 day notice to increase. I did not respond. By December they reduced it to $40 increase with a lease and $100 without. I chose to surrender the unit and move.

13 months later they still have not rented the unit and I have seen it for less than I was paying. They have a crazy system. Rates can fluctuate each day. When I rented I got no discount but people before and after me had received specials like two months free. I was being transferred for work and needed some place to live but always had a little resentment over the specials issue. 13 months later I feel vindicated.

What really happens to Democracy if one political party ceases to exist?

In California we have many races where the top two candidates are both Democrats and this works for us as far as I can tell. Perhaps it creates a money issue where the Democratic party is funding two campaigns.

I don't quite get how he managed to take over the RNC. This is what he wants to do to our country. On the surface the destruction of the Republican party sounds like a win overall if we could have a choice between 2 different Democrats rather than a Dem and a Republican. But I also don't understand the money part. Candidates are limited but PACs are not. What about the RNC. Can foreign countries and billionaires give TFg all the money he needs to manage his expenses and still campaign?

Do all men lay down and go to sleep? Do some women lay down and go to sleep? Is there an actual documented gender difference in insomnia for inability to fall asleep or stay asleep?

Just my musings. I have done no research beyond the men I personally know. Actually not even research. Just aware of those days I am struggling and they are not and #wondering if I am alone.

1. The plumbers finally left. Job not done but I have peace and quiet.

2. The responsibility for the costs will likely fall on the HOA. At least I won't be the only one paying. (It is in the main line, not my residence. )

3. Since I can't use the sink, dishwasher or laundry I ordered delivery. It was very good.

1. I called someone to clean out my gutters and downspouts so I don't have to worry anymore.

2. After listening to my husband complain about the price (I don't even know yet, it was a desperate situation) and how he was going to get to it he slipped and said thank goodness he doesn't have to go on the roof. 🤣

People here on Mastodon have helped me so much. I wasn't good at masking and have been rejected so often.

I was a poker dealer for 25 years (Texas holdem) and that meant looking at the center of the table and watching everyone peripherally instead of making direct eye contact.

I got to old to continue and have a new job. I am on my second company in 2 years. I was going to quit from the first company but decided to try this one. I work in groups of teams on projects that can be resolved within a week. Or at least my portion of it. I have tried to check out books on making small talk and having conversations and there are not many out there. I have tried to ask people about themselves but I just fail. I talk to them when they are texting or I make too much eye contact. Blah blah.

My point is in following along I have learned to watch what other people do and copy them. If everyone is texting I pretend I am too. I am trying to limit my eye contact I was forced to learn.
