Effective immediately, AllThingsTech will no longer allow accounts to post about cryptocurrency of any kind. While we understand there are a lot of users who are into that kind of stuff, it's something we don't want our instance to be associated with for various reasons.

Any posts related to cryptocurrency that are made via any accounts on our instance will be deleted immediately. If you have questions or comments about this decision, please let us know immediately! Thank you for understanding.

Once we have confirmation that the spam problem has been taken care of, we will consider removing the block.

There is currently a spam attack coming from mastodon.world and it seems to mostly be private mentions and tagging lots of accounts.

We ask that #AllThingsTech users simply report any accounts you see as spam and block them immediately.

We will continue to monitor this to see if we need to limit mastodon.world if the situation gets out of hand or isn't handled in timely fashion.
