Why does a state like California that has supermajorities in both houses of the legislature not have a livable wage, housing guarantees, universal healthcare, and other very progressive policies?

I keep being told it’s because of the Republicans that we can’t have nice things. So what gives in California? We should be overflowing with progressive policies.

Look into installing a custom ROM, some phones are not supported but many are by at least one custom ROM. I personally installed GrapheneOS and recommend that or calyxOS (never used it but hear good things) but those are only available for pixels, iirc LineageOS has the widest support but also isn’t quite as secure. F-droid and Aurora store for apps.

Kinda same, though I’d like to figure out how to make a raid setup to improve. Atm I just back up my absolute essentials on every drive, and my dotfiles on one (well, two including my install), my totally-not pirated stuff on another, etc. Tbh I kinda use “I can just redownload that” as a back up method lol.

Got my email, batch 15! I plan on using it as a laptop and repairing/upgrading parts as needed! I know that sounds stupid, but seriously I am just excited to actually feel respected by a goddamn company!

Also gonna try and figure out this whole “VMs” thing, my current laptop with 8gb ddr3 doesn’t seem to really be able to do it, but I’d like to be able to use them for distrotrying (not really “hopping,” is it? Lol) and maybe have a windows one, with the watermark because I’m not paying, for the rare 15-60min per year I need windows.

This just means that one doesn’t have to show “proper cause” to get a permit. For instance NYC (which was the case in question) which only gave permits to those who could show “proper cause” which ended up being only rich and/or famous people and politicians who are better than their lowly serfs constituents. Still have to get the permit in NYC, they just can’t deny you because “you aren’t important enough to need it” anymore.

It’s fantastic imo so far. The Pound has just found their new autocrat, their Napoleon, and shit is getting real for the poor lil bunnies.

So, with this in mind, the “nah” isn’t accurate, as both ideological vegans and the religious both act with the same vitriolic fervor due to them considering themselves morally superior to their respective “out” groups, so instead of

It is

Yes (this is how the religious treat others), and this is how vegan treat others, as well.

I wish I could find one that is just a little less ideological. Not that I have a problem with ideologies, but I have trust issues, and I’ve seen some people justify some shit in the name of their ideologies, and as such I don’t fully trust someone with a policy like:
