So my #FountainPen no buy because of new floors is now because of new hoose! From the city, to the coast, to a wooded dell in the middle of nowhere in less than five years. As I’ve aged, my ability to tolerate others has diminished to the point of non-existence! That’s why our new neighbours are mostly deer, foxes and badgers ☺️

@penfount Goodness. Now you’re asking. I think the first one I bought myself might have been a Lamy of some description. I would have been completely skint at the time, so it had to have been something I could purchase from the stationery dept of John Lewis as opposed to their pen counter (long gone in Edinburgh sadly). Whatever it was I no longer have it :(

@penfount The Onoto Keats’ Pen: Ode to a Nightingale. It’s beautiful. I’d add the 18ct gold nib, plunger filler and maybe a custom nib grind. Difficult to justify spending this much on a pen…

@penfount My other gets it. Everyone else? “WTF?! It’s not the 1900s” But then they look at how I’m dressed (generally always tweed and brogues) and they’re all “I guess it makes sense really”. 😁

@penfount I attached an elastic band to a Kaweco Sport and used it as a capo when I couldn’t find mine. I thought I was a genius. It was sh!t.

My friend had to get some work done, so I had some time to write a letter. Going to the Netherlands. You can write it two ways. In Hangul, which is the Korean alphabet and in Hanja, which are the Korean characters based on the Chinese ones. Doesn’t really get used anymore, but when I grew up that was still the most used term

@penfount So about £400… Dylan Stephen has a beautiful limited edition Onoto Magna 261 for £350. Ink wise I’ll stay in the UK with all of Diamine’s Deep Dark Cult Pens exclusives.

@paradoxmo I had to make a visit to a work office that I haven’t been to before. Got off the train. According to my instructions the office was a 15 min walk. 45 mins no office. My sense of direction is poor so I eventually called in. I tried to describe where I was. They had no clue!!! Neither did I!! I was very lost. £30 taxi ride later… I’m too embarrassed to put it on expenses!

I’ve finally had a chance to try my new Iroful notebook and I’m super delighted. It’s amazingly good. I decided to use one of Diamine’s more temperamental sheening inks. It dried surprisingly quickly. No feathering, no ghosting. Shading is excellent. Not cheap, but absolutely worth it. I’ll be buying lots of these 😁

An unusual day at work (WFH) today. I need to write a report so have the pleasure of putting pen to paper before switching on the computer. The lovely Nahvalur Nautilus Cephalopod has been called into service, albeit inked with the entirely too grown up Diamine Blue Black. Soundtrack is the aptly named Blue Lines album by Massive Attack.
